Galactus rebrands and launches new website

Welcome to the updated, rebranded Galactus website.

We've been so flat working on our client projects that it's taken a while to get our own website on track.

If you've not worked with us before have a look around and if you like what we do feel free to get in touch.

A big thank you to the team for working the extra hours to get the site live, and here's to a fun packed 2009.

Faber Poetry Widget & Facebook campaign goes live

Galactus has created a widget and facebook application for Faber & Faber to celebrate the publisher’s 80th Birthday.

These applications, available from www.52poems.co.uk display a poem a week throughout the year.  A central element to Faber’s online campaign, as well as forming a key part of their online collection, the applications can be shared and embedded on social networking sites, profiles and blogs, and users can then forward any of these poems to a friend by email.

The digitalisation of poetry has been gathering speed in recent years, with poet Laureate Andrew Motion helping to create an online poetry archive where users can listen to poets reading their work.

The widget is currently being promoted through a targeted online PR campaign, with the impact on the publisher’s target market directly measured and assessed through tracing the website traffic driven to www.52poems.co.uk

Through embracing new digital media in all it’s forms as Faber have done with this new web based application, publishers can engage in new opportunities for promotion, publicity and direct communication with their customers, in this instance through making poetry accessible and engaging to a wider audience, enhancing the public’s enjoyment of poetry and ultimately raising brand awareness and increasing sales.

Faber Spokesperson said: “Working with Galactus on 52 Poems has been really rewarding, and the market/user awareness and digital design know-how that they have brought to the project has been truly invaluable.”
