This is a new widget we produced to promote the launch of The Wit and Wisdom of Gene Hunt – the third in a series of spoof books based on the character from the BBC series Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes.  

This book is a selection of DCI Gene Hunt's funniest and most controversial quotes, so to translate this online we added a DCI Gene Hunt quote of the day to the widget, so every time a user re-visits the widget a new quote will appear on the widget front page.

Creatively the widget is presented in a notebook style that includes typography and handwritten annotations as well as Polaroid-style photos translating the 1970’s feel.

Main aims are to reach out to fans of the TV series and books, showcase the new book in a humorous & controversial way, so visitors will buy a copy for themselves and their friends.
