Hero.com & Villain.net: Online PR & Community Marketing Campaign

Client: Oxford University Press

We were delighted to run this online PR and social networking campaign supporting the release of Hero.com & Villain.net, written by author Andy Briggs who has worked on a number of film scripts including ‘Judge Dredd’ and ‘Highlander.’

Key objectives were to drive boys aged 9+ to the website, sign up for alerts, buy the books and challenge their friends to a roof top battle.

Promotional activity included reviews & competitions across teen lifestyle sites, newsletters and magazines including Dr Who, Sci Fi UK, Virgin Media, Jetix, Monkey Slum, Total Sci Fi, Beano Town, Sci Fi UK, Borders & Sci Fi Now.

We also promoted the site and Hero/Villain facebook application via our online street team across social networking sites including facebook, Bebo & Myspace:

Since launch the site has been visited by over 21,000 unique users spending on average over 7 minutes on the site.
