Client: Oxford University Press
VSI’s are a vast series of introductory books to almost any subject area aimed at those who want a quick way-in.
Design objectives were to introduce students and general readers to the series in a fun, laid back way, as well as driving sales and collecting sign ups to keep users informed about new titles.
Rather than producing a dull, catalogue based site we came up with a design that centres on a quiz posing the campaign strap line ‘Where is the gap in your knowledge’.
Quiz questions include a number of categories featured in the range and the end result of the quiz provides you with a list of suggested titles to purchase that will help fill that void. There is also a separate section where you can search books by subject.
The website was linked with a promotional print piece that was given away in fresher’s packs, and was also promoted via our online PR team across broadsheet and students sites. Click here to see examples: VSI PR
The quiz has been played over 56,000 times to date.
