Harlequin Enterprises is the global leader in series romance and one of the world's leading publishers of books for women. The Toronto-based company publishes over 110 titles a month in 28 languages in 114 international markets on six continents.
However one of their problems is that many of their retail partners do not have enough online real estate or time to continually update their websites to promote Harlequin’s vast range of books. So Galactus came up with the idea to provide them with a virtual rack widget that can be embedded on 3rd party etailer sites as well as social networking sites and blogs for Harlequin fans.
We are also developing a content management system that will enable Harlequin to both centrally create new versions of the widget for individual etailers, as well as control all content updates. Therefore keeping consumers up to date with new titles and reducing space and time for retailers to update around 120+ new titles each month.
Main aims are to have all of Harlequin’s major retail accounts implement this virtual rack widget to drive awareness and increase retail store sales. Further developments include integrating the virtual rack widget with retailer e-commerce platforms to increase e-commerce sales.
